April 9, 2009 (WLS) -- A former priest is now back in prison.
Former Geneva priest Mark Campobello served more than three years for sexual abusing two teenage girls. Now he is behind bars again at Stateville Correctional Center. He violated parole by no longer having a permanent address.
The defrocked priest abused the two girls he taught at Aurora Central Catholic School about 10 years ago. He pleaded guilty to charges a few years later.
At the time of the attacks, Campobello was also a priest at a church in Geneva.
(Companions in Hope would like to correct the above statement saying the two girls were students at Aurora Central Catholic School. One girl was a student at ACC and the other was a student at St. Peter School in Geneva. The church in Geneva at which Camopbello was a priest is St. Peter Catholic Church.)
